Race Numbers! This is very important. It will be done on a first come first serve basis. When you
enter on line you will type in your number. If it takes the number, you are in. If it kick's you back
you will have to add a letter or change your number and try again. This is the only way that we can
keep Bib numbers from all the different organizations from having the same number on the track.
2012 Vintage race numbers must be in the correct location on the sled and be the correct size and
color per ISR rule book. If they are not in the correct location and the right size and color you will
not be scored. Again, you will not be scored! Number must be displayed on both sides of "hood".
(Not on the belly pan!) Number must be (6) inched high 3/4 inches wide and be displayed in
contrasting colors. (Drivers will be required to keep snowmobile and back BIB numbers in legible
condition)
Again in 2012 there will be VINTAGE PRACTICE at the E/R World Championship Classic
Vintage Weekend Presented by Woody's
Practice will be Thursday January 12th 2012 11:00 am until 7:00 pm you will have to have your
sled safety teched on Thursday morning. There will be a lot of sleds to get teched so if you want to
hit the track right at 11 am we suggest getting your sled tech'ed ASAP. The sleds will go out on the
ice in groups of five by class; there will be five groups of combined classes Super Stock, Super
Mod, Pro Mod. ETC. There will be a $25.00 charge per driver per group. Sno Cross will run during
track grooming. All testing time must be pre-registered on the Derby web site by the January 3rd
deadline. There will be no late registering for practice sessions. There will be a limit to the number
of sleds testing in each class
Trailer Parking We will start parking trailers in the pits on Wednesday January 11th at 9:00 am. We
will have the parking area behind the big red barn open for anynyone that would like to drop a
trailer before Wednesday.
Four Wheelers and ATV's! There will be no four wheelers or ATV's in the pits! You may have
someone drop you off at the pit entrance but they cannot enter the pits. ATV and pit bikes! Do not
cross Highway 45 to the west and stay off Pleasure Island Road across from the school. You will
get a ticket. Please do not park them out side the back pit exit as we can not block the road and need
to keep it clear in case of emergency for ambulance entrance and departure.
Again For 2012 Color coded pit entry! Please look at the race schedule; this will let you know the
race number that the next color will be let in. When you check in you will receive a Vintage World
Championship sticker color coded for each class you have entered. The pits will only let one color
in at a time. This should alleviate the congestion that we have had in the past. Along with this
change we will also be implementing the way we run the classes. For 2012 we will be running the
class all the way thru to the final. This will include any semi or quarter finals. When you are
finished or eliminated with your heat or semi you will have to take your sled out of the pits and
back to your trailer.
When there are 10 or less entries per class "all entries will be in the final race"
You do not have to run your heat race to be in the finals you can choose not to run your heat race
the decision for the extra ice time will be up to you. All vintage entries must be received by January
10th, 2012. The Vintage World Championship will run Sunday January 15th at 3:00 pm Sharp.
Trophies & Awards: All trophies (awarded 1st - 3rd for money classes and 1st -5th for trophy
classes), and a checkered flag to every class winner. Every class winner and the top ten qualifiers
for the Vintage W/C will receive a Cold Wave jacket. Jackets & Trophies will not be mailed or
shipped. Checks will be mailed out the week after the Derby. Top Ten Vintage World
Championship awards will be given out at the completion of racing Saturday night January 14th in
the Derby Expo Hall at the last lap Saloon. All awards for all finals will be Sunday, January 15th,
around 4:30 pm in the Derby Expo Hall at the Last Lap Saloon.
Vintage Pit Passes: Each driver will receive one pit pass (at no charge). Additional pit passes can
be purchased at registration for $35.00 each. No one will be admitted into the pits without a pit
pass. You must be 14 years of age or older to be in the pits. All minors must have a signed release
on file in the registration office. Pit passes are also good for general admission to the Derby
grounds.
